About this Event
Overview:
Tampa Family Health Centers (TFHC) hosts an interactive gardening class. Josh Payne, Extension Agent and Registered Dietician Nutritionist, will talk about how to pickle fresh vegetables. Josh will demo the pickling process and talk about food safety.
Participants will receive free vegetable seeds that are easy to grow and pickle, plus recipes. Josh will also talk about jams and jellies and have a raffle for recipe books.
Registration:
This is a free class. TFHC will provide the materials, but registration is required.
Please note: Call or email Nicole Pinson, [email protected] or 813-459-3831, TFHC Garden Manager, to reserve your spot. Space is limited to 50 participants.
Event Location:
The class begins at 10 AM. We will meet in the Employee Breakroom at the Osborne center. 4620 N. 22nd St. Tampa FL 33611. You will receive an email with location details prior to the event. Please call Nicole Pinson, Garden Manager, if you need more information or assistance.
We have a water cooler and snack machine, but we don’t have cups, so please bring a beverage or your refillable water bottle.
