Come join me for a full-day painting workshop on how to create the NMM (non-metallic metal) effect using acrylic paints on your miniatures. Through this 1 day course, you will learn the foundations and characteristics of what makes a good NMM effect. How to read volumes of various sizes and shapes for effective light placements. Uses of colour that can lead into other various forms of coloured nmm such as gold, brass and anodized metal. As well as the brush and paint techniques in order to place it all on the miniature.Each student will be supplied a single resin miniature that we will work on for the course of the workshop. Where other supplies are not supplied and students should be prepared to bring them.
The course is $70 per person with a total of 8 slots open. By clicking attend AND by messaging me through Facebook, I can take tuition to secure your seat on a first come first serve basis. After the 8 slots are filled, I will be holding further inquiries and offering slots based on anyone needing to cancel.
List of materials needed:
- Brushes (Size 1 - 00)
- Wet Palette
- Working table lamp (please use a table standing lamp, limited table side width to fit a clamp on lamp)
- Water Cup
- *Paints
*Paints: Students will need Black, White, Neutral Greys, light blue, olive green, ice yellow, dark ochre, mourfang brown.
**I use primarily Scale75 scale colour series paints. I am referring to generic paint names listed above and should try to get approx matches within that ballpark. Don't stress about exact matching paint! If anything you can do with a black, white, yellow, blue, red, orange, green and mix :)
