About this Event
Join us for a roundtable discussion on mobilising young people for nature and climate.
This is a chance to put our heads together and share best practice on engaging young people through schools. The discussion group will include representatives from:
· National climate and nature engagement schemes for schools including Let's Go Zero and Climate Ambassadors
· Local schools and forest school professionals
· Local community groups that do work in schools and with young people
· Nature and Climate Officers from Cambridge City Council and Cambridgeshire County Council
If you’re working with schools in Cambridgeshire on nature or climate, you’re an engaged member of staff or a young person who wants to share your voice. Come along, join the conversation and help shape our approach going forward.
The outputs from this roundtable discussion will inform a larger-scale, one-day event for schools in the Autumn, showcasing the best national and local nature and climate initiatives. We will help schools put environmental policies and plans in place that are inspirational, impactful, and manageable.
This meeting will be facilitated by Cambridgeshire County Council’s Nature Recovery - From the Ground Up project. The meeting will take place in the run up to the Cambridge Nature Festival.
Please share this invite with others who might be interested in attending.
