Tummy time is really important for key developmental areas for your baby, but many parents struggle to make this an enjoyable and fun experience. Lots of little ones are not big fans of tummy time!
Babies who don’t spend any time on their tummies can miss out on the important practice of lifting their heads against gravity and bearing weight with their arms—activities that strengthen the muscles of the neck, shoulders, arms, and belly. This physical development will eventually become crucial for babies to sit, roll, push up, and crawl. Tummy time is particularly beneficial for babies that have tongue tie or have had one previously separated.
This session will teach you about the important sensory and physical developmental elements that tummy time supports and give you lots of fun ideas and games to play. We will also cover safety.
Professional digital handouts will give you all that you need to carry on this important play at home and aid your little one in reaching key developmental milestones.
