LUX Artist in Residence Alex Renbarger uses oil paint and color to bring importance to the mundane. Try out oil painting techniques she uses such as wet on wet and thin/thick paint applications alongside fun color theory tips like creating emphasis through saturation and value. By the end of the workshop, you will leave with your very own painting turning a chosen mundane object into the main character. Please bring a reference image if desired. All materials are provided.
