Join the Women's Alliance free Lunch & Learn workshop on Thursday, December 5th from 12PM to 1PM at the YWCA Southeastern Massachusetts, 20 South 6th Street in New Bedford.
This workshop will offer practical methods for improving DEl efforts by implementing concrete strategies to support your organization. We will explore Child and Family Services' DEl model, highlighting both the accomplishments and challenges of integrating DEI practices into your organization.
Queen Viv works at Child and Family Services as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Strategy Director. Attending school in the mid-70s during the "busing era" gave her a broader understanding of systemic racism. She realized that a community can only be healed if the people in it practice self-care. She went on to attain her Masters in Counseling & Psychology.
