Workshop description: Home is where the haunt is. Learn core supernatural fiction craft techniques for writing a scene set in a space overwrought with ghosts of all kinds. Familiarize yourself with examples of speculative work to gain inspiration. Whether you are a long-term tenant or just beginning construction, this course deals with both idea generation and basic outlining approaches. Prepare your automatic writing utensils and get ready to lift the veil as we embark on the journey of composing haunted house short fiction.

About the Instructor: Isabel Grey is a fiction writer and poet. She received an MFA in Genre Fiction and Poetry from Western Colorado University. Her short story, "Red Door House", won the 2023 Wordcrafter Press Short Fiction Prize. Grey's poetry has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize, Best New Poet's Award, and elsewhere.
