About this Event

Join Clare Coombes, a graduate of the University of Liverpool and founder of the Liverpool Literary Agency, to discover how to get published.

Clare set up the agency in 2020 to address inequality and underrepresentation in the publishing industry. A published writer herself, she will be sharing her insights around securing a book deal and how to break into the publishing industry.

Clare will be joined in a lively panel discussion with Steph Sowden, whose debut novel After Everything You Did, has just been published by Canelo and explores the question of whether killers are born or made.

Also joining the discussion is David Beckler, who, thanks to the Liverpool Literary Agency, has just secured a three book deal with Amazon Publishing. The first instalment A Long Shadow will be published next month.

We have listened to your feedback and this year we’re offering you the chance to purchase full day or weekend passes so you can enjoy everything the festival has to offer.

All passes will include reserved seating in the lecture theatre, a free drink at the Waterhouse Café, plus a host of other exclusive VIP benefits.

Cost: Saturday pass £30, Sunday pass £40, Weekend pass £60

Please note, all types of festival passes do not include the launch event on Friday 7th October with Ann Cleeves at the Yoko Ono Lennon Centre.
