Workshop topic
In this workshop we will explore the fundamentals of User Experience (UX) design and its critical role in the development of innovative products. Hardware and software touchpoints will be examined. This session aims to broaden your understanding of how thoughtful design helps ensure that products are not only functional but also accessible and enjoyable to use. Peter will present a project from the medical field and explain how the design team worked hard to ensure that nurses and surgeons could perform their tasks with ease and accuracy. Through hands-on exercises you will learn what makes a good user experience and Peter will show how early-stage startups can put their users at the center of their activities from the very beginning.

About the speaker
Peter Hess is the CEO of HKT Design, a design agency specializing in product and user experience design, making a significant impact in the medical device and life sciences industries. Peter is Industrial Designer by trade and has 25 years of experience in medical design. He is involved in the development of hardware and software products. As a human-centered designer he ensures that the user’s needs are incorporated early in the development process
