Dr. Licata and panelists will unpack some of the most significant challenges people are facing during the pandemic. They will highlight various stress responses coping mechanisms that we all might experience. And they will introduce ways we can build resilience, heal, and strengthen our mental health for future challenges we may face.

Dr. Giancarlo Licata, D.C. is one of only 250 doctors in the United States trained in NUCCA spinal care. This form of spinal care called NUCCA (National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association) is dedicated to the correction of injuries to the spine and nervous system using the latest in biomechanics and neurology. Dr. Licata focuses on correcting injuries to the brain and nervous system while achieving consistent and predictable results, without the need for drugs or surgery. Dr. Licata is the founder of Vital Head and Spinal Care, and co-founder of the Pasadena Interprofessional Community. His focus is on Applied Neuroscience, Concussion recovery, and Interprofessional Collaboration. Having cared for thousands of patients with chronic pain, migraines, and concussions, Dr. Licata deepened his expertise with Peak Brain Institute to better understand and improve concussion recovery, attention, sleep, and anxiety. His unique combination of evidence-based tools and applied neuroscience has created one of the top neurofeedback centers in the world. Dr. Licata speaks nationally on Brain Health, Sleep Science, Concussion Management, and the role of the brain in Chronic Pain and Migraines, and has been featured on ABC, Huffington Post, and national podcast interviews. Dr. Licata attained his B.A. in Political Science and Minor in Spanish Literature from the University of California, San Diego, and his B.S. in Human Biology, and Doctorate in Chiropractic from Cleveland Chiropractic College, Los Angeles. Dr. Giancarlo Licata is nationally board-certified, California Board Certified, a member of the International Chiropractic Association, National Upper Cervical Chiropractic Association, and the Council on Upper Cervical Care.

Dr. Amy Keller, PSYD, MFT

Dr. Keller is a psychoanalyst and licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with over 30 years of experience. Dr. Keller actively engages with her patients, listening and asking probing questions. Her psychoanalytic training and unorthodox engaging “Transformational Therapy” heals trauma faster than traditional therapy and sparks transformation by giving patients the understanding and communication skills needed for positive, long-lasting change in their relationships and their lives. Her unique approach to couples therapy includes trust-building exercises and homework that can heal injuries caused by conflict, infidelity (both physical and emotional), and miscommunication. Dr. Keller’s passion for mental health profession extends to mentoring new therapists. She has recently published the book, GetReal, GetGoing: The Definitive Road Map to Starting the Private Practice of Your Dreams and will soon be posting classes for clinicians and laypeople alike.

Colleen Crosby

Colleen Crosby is a Certified Facilitator of The Resilience Toolkit, Certified in NeuroAffective Touch™, a Certified TRE provider, and a Licensed Massage Therapist with over 20 years of experience. She studied at The Institute of Psycho-Structural Balancing and is trained in a variety of Eastern and Western modalities such as Swedish massage, deep tissue work, Thai massage, Shiatsu, breathwork, and yoga. She holds a BA degree from San Jose State University with an emphasis in metalsmithing. Colleen views bodywork as an inherently creative process. She draws her inspiration from her background as an artist and from her deep appreciation of the positive effects that movement, dance, and yoga have on our sense of connectedness to self, family, and community. Early in her career, she joined her massage practice with an integrative healthcare group and worked collaboratively to support patient care through the disciplines of massage, chiropractic, acupuncture, and nutrition. Since then she has sought to consistently expand her skills and develop professional relationships that enhance her ability to assist clients using multiple holistic perspectives. Colleen believes that our bodies are a storehouse of our life experiences. She integrates therapeutic touch and The Resilience Toolkit to gently guide her clients’ attention inward. Using an open and responsive approach, Colleen allows clients to gently explore the story their bodies want to tell. Colleen brings a grounded presence to her work; creating a safe, supportive environment that encourages healing on all levels: physical, mental, and emotional. Colleen’s favorite part of her work is witnessing her clients discover their internal spark. Seeing someone reconnect to their inner resources and embark on a journey towards a more authentic self is deeply fulfilling. Colleen finds joy in gardening, being in nature, riding her bike, or hiking trails in Southern California. She still makes jewelry, so you might find her poking around bead stores adding to her collection of African Beads.

Natalie Moore, LMFT

Natalie Moore is a licensed therapist, content creator, and expert speaker based in Pasadena. She helps ambitious, creative millennials increase their emotional resiliency and transform limiting patterns to create the life, love, and career of their dreams. Natalie incorporates holistic modalities like mindfulness, somatic psychology, and breathwork into her therapy to support the natural healing process. She offers online secure teletherapy to California resident adults.

Chris Foreman US ARMY Chaplain, Founder of Wellness District LA

Chris Foreman is a licensed and ordained minister through Foursquare International. He serves as an Army Chaplain in the US Army Reserves working with Soldiers who have experienced the most traumatic circumstances. Chris’ approach to healing victims of war, trauma, and abuse is rooted in a holistic approach: engaging each Soldier in areas of the body, mind, and soul. Chris is the founder of Wellness District LA, an online community where people looking for healing can find the best health and wellness practices, products, and experts in Los Angeles. Chris holds a Master's Degree from Regent University.
