What to do now that Joann is out of business?

Buying fabric can be confusing, especially online. We'll talk about words like "hand" and "drape", and the difference between silk and satin. This class will be a VERY brief introduction into fibers, weave structures, performance attributes, and buying strategies.

No sewing in this class! Instead we'll take lots of notes, have conversations about why polyester seems to cling onto salad dressing stains for dear life, and get up-close-and-personal with weave structures. You'll leave with a binder filled with fabric swatches and an improved understanding of the textile world, to help with online buying.

Bring a good pencil and a notebook to the first class.
