Work suck? Ever thought about forming a union at your job? What do your coworkers think? How does someone even start?
If you've ever thought about these questions, please join us for a free community training on labor organizing in honor of Labor Day 2026, put on by the Chattanooga Area Labor Council.
This training series will help you and your co-workers build your union from the ground up. You’ll hear from experienced organizers and people like you who are organizing their own workplaces. In small discussion groups with participants across Chattanooga, you'll practice connecting with your co-workers, discover what you need to take strategic action around common concerns, and prepare for what the boss has in store.
This is part one of a two part series on the committee building model for organizing a union. Part two will be held on Labor Day, September 7th.
