About this Event

5-12th Grade Students! Come learn how to write and publish your own book!

Holly Rehberg is an Oklahoma author and teacher and will be presenting her new book Cal the Camel and His Kayaking Adventure. Her book was inspired by a trip to the Arbuckle Wilderness and Turner Falls right here in Oklahoma. In addition to sharing her journey to publishing, she will also incorporate several of the Oklahoma State Standard for language arts objectives like the writing process, parts of a book, and various story elements. For the older students, she will focus too on the business side of publishing and detailing what current jobs and occupations students could focus on as they prepare for their futures as she has built her writing business solely from the ground up.
