Class Topic: What qualities do the happiest people have? These just happen to be the qualites that are developed while training in the Bodhisattva's Path, specifically training in the Six Perfections.

In each of these six classes we'll go over the following:

April 7: The Perfection of Giving. A happy person would be a very giving person, such as giving resources, time/attention, love, precious wisdom, or giving protection.

April 14: The Perfection of Moral Discipline. A happy person would want to abandon any fault that would bring suffering to ourselves and others and helping others in whatever way we can.

April 28: The Perfection of Patience. A happy person would have a virtuous mind that is able to bear harm and suffering. Not retaliating, but patiently enduring suffering, and happily practicing all of the training.

May 5: The Perfection of Effort. A happy person would delight in doing positive things/virtue. This is something that should accompany all our virtuous endeavors, which is being delighted in focusing on positive things that brings happiness to ourself and others.

May 12: The Perfection of Mental Stabilization. A happy person has great focus. Mental stabilization, or concentration, is a mind whose nature is to be single-pointedly place on a positive object and prevents distractions.

May 19: The Perfection of Wisdom. A happy person is wise. Wisdom is not the same as worldly intelligence or being clever, as wisdom is a special understanding that brings inner peace by undestanding the nature of all things and knows what is virtuous/positive to be practiced and what is to be avoided.

Please join us in Anchorage or around the world! Classes are held yearly at the main center in Seattle, Washington. Online Zoom correspondence classes are ongoing as well, such as the Foundation Program and the Teacher Training Program. Please contact the main center for more information and special events coming up. www.MeditateInSeattle.org
