How-To: BBQ, Chimichurri, Teriyaki & Tzatziki SAUCES!

Join our professional chef for a two-hour session devoted to understanding sauces.

In this hands-on class you will learn the purpose of sauces, the principles behind creating flavorful sauces, tips, and tricks for creating easy sauces, and more. You will take the sauces home with you. These sauces are all perfect seasonal sauces to pair with grilled meats and seafoods!

Menu:

Classic BBQ Sauce:

Lesson Focus: Balancing sweetness and acidity. Students will learn to simmer and reduce sauces to enhance flavors.

Chimichurri Sauce:

Lesson Focus: Chopping herbs finely and blending flavors without cooking. Understanding the importance of fresh ingredients.

Teriyaki Sauce:

Lesson Focus: Combining ingredients to achieve the perfect umami balance. Techniques for simmering and thickening without burning.

Tzatziki Sauce:

Lesson Focus: Properly grating and draining cucumber to prevent a watery sauce. Combining dairy with acidic and aromatic components

There will be a platter of prepared meats and vegetables prepared to try each sauce.

Classes are approximately 90 minutes – 2 hours. If you want to sign up yourself and other adults in this system, you must sign them up as your child. Unfortunately, Sawyer is limited in its ability to allow one adult to sign up two or more adults. Simply choose "ADD CHILD” and add your family or friend's name and a fake birthday. This will allow you to register your party. Or have your friends and family register themselves, separately. Sorry for the extra step. We cannot get Sawyer to fix it.
