How Sweet It Is ~ an all-star Tribute to Marvin Gaye, features 16 of Maine's finest musicians donating their time to raise vital funds for Go Big For Hunger and Sweetser's Overdose Prevention Services.

This extraordinary group of vocalists include Svanna Australia Clariot, Rodney Mashia, Papa Tim, Sam Whitman, Unique Unknown, Jazmin DeRice Miller, Dawson Hill, Joshua Charleton Witham, Tom Douglas and introducing Mahogany Walton, backed by a stellar all star house band. Our cherished opener, performing her original modern soul music is the stellar Angelikah Fahray.

The show is produced by Marc Kaplan, who's numerous benefit shows have included sold out tributes to Tom Petty, Chicago, Aretha Franklin and The Allman Brothers.

Marvin Gaye, dubbed the Prince of Motown was one of the most successful soul artists of all time. Between 1961 to his untimely death in 1984, he released 17 chart topping solo albums and 6 duet albums that featured 63 chart topping singles. Songs like Ain't No Mountain High Enough, What's Going On, I Heard it Through the Grapevine, How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved by You,), and Let's Get it On are among his iconic soul masterpieces.
