To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Edinburgh Jazz 'n Jive Club, we're organising three FREE history talks. The second one will be "How Jazz music came to Britain".
This talk will be a presentation by Dick Lee, a renowned Jazz musician, band leader, composer, historian and educator. He not only plays regularly at our Club, with various bands, but he has also lectured extensively on Jazz history including at the University of Edinburgh and has -more recently- run his own lecture series on Jazz music and history at Edinburgh's Valvona & Crolla.
The talk will be followed by a musical gig, starting at 8pm, with the amazing Ken Mathieson's Classic Jazz Orchestra. The bar of the venue will be open as of 6:30pm.
