How Do you Shop for Fashion? Join Our Research Workshop in Newcastle

Northumbria University, in collaboration with Green Story, is undertaking a research project: Co-creating motive-driven, responsible customer journeys in the fashion system — in preparation for interactive sustainability touchpoints.

The project is looking at how consumers engage with the stages of the sustainable fashion consumer shopping journey to reduce environmental impact across all stages of their consumption journey, from purchase to post-purchase. This research is in preparation for legislative compliance which has the potential to influence fashion brands to engage customers in more responsible and circular fashion consumption practices.

The project will also evaluate and validate the critical touchpoints, and 'pain points' along the customer journey that can be managed and communicated by fashion brands and consumers to keep garments in the loop assuring longevity and waste reduction.
