Houston Shakespeare Festival (HSF) returns to Miller Outdoor Theatre with Comedy of Errors Produced by University of Houston!
Shakespeare’s riotous farce of mistaken identity, The Comedy of Errors, brings double trouble to the bustling port city of Ephesus when two sets of twins—separated at birth—unexpectedly cross paths, unleashing a whirlwind of mayhem and mirth.
In this fast-paced comedy bursting with physical humor, outrageous confusion, and joyful surprise, husbands are mistaken for strangers, servants are denied their own names, and no one can tell friend from foe. As misunderstandings multiply and tempers flare, the laughter never lets up.
Filled with rapid-fire wit and escalating absurdity, The Comedy of Errors showcases Shakespeare at his most playful. Don’t miss this crowd-pleasing classic, directed by HSF Artistic Director Jack Young.
Since 1975, the Houston Shakespeare Festival (HSF) has brought high-quality, accessible performances to our diverse community each summer. Founded by Dr. Sidney Berger as a professional extension of the UH School of Theatre & Dance, HSF is an Equity company where UH students perform alongside seasoned professionals to explore our common humanity.
This performance will have open captioning on August 4 and will be Audio Described on August 6.
Admission is free. Covered seating tickets will be available online beginning at 10:00 AM the day before the show. Hill seating is always free and does not require a ticket. Additional covered seating tickets will be available at the Box Office one hour before the performance, while supplies last.
