Members of Save the Freshney Valley have been campaigning for 3 years about the plans to destroy acres of our countryside in the name of rampant and unnecessary housebuilding. fast forward to today and people from all areas of NELC ate frustrated at the plans to hike out annual housing targets to over 700 houses!! With no plans to build genuinely affordable or social housing, and with 2000 empty homes in the borough and thousands of houses with planning unbuilt this is utterly wrong.
We want to invite anyone from the area to join us to stand outside the Town Hall for September's and show councillors and the local media we have had enough. please join us from 545pm onwards on Cleethorpes for a friendly and peaceful show of feelings. Bring your children, neighbours, family and friends and let's stand up for our towns future!! see you there x
