DARK ARPS :: LIVE MODULAR SYNTH SET :: Vancouver
Dynamic, deep and progressive, with contrasting vibes of tension and optimism, Dark Arps’ sound is a blend of broken beat and techno underpinned with dark, razor-sharp melodies, progressive hooks and tough basslines… futuristic, emotional and always danceable. Equally comfortable on stage or in the studio, his improvised live sets remain faithful to these tenets while pushing into unknown genres with live-patching, modular synthesis and in-the-moment experimentation.
He has provided support to notable artists such as Rrose, Stelios Vassiloudis, Ramon Tapia, Darren Emerson, Dave Seaman, John ‘00’ Fleming, Jay Tripwire, Matthew Dear, Karsten Sollors, Tyler Stadius, and Max Ulis.
Currently producing as one third of production group DASK (inc Savaggio, Kostiya). Recent productions and releases include EPs, remixes and singles on Traum Schallplatten, RF, Three Records, Submarine Vibes, and Suprematic Sounds.
Em. Ash :: RF :: Courtenay
