Jon Delerious - Nordic Trax - Calgary
DJ Jon Delerious is a renowned house DJ and producer hailing from Calgary, Canada. With an undying passion for electronic music and an innate talent for crafting groove-laden beats. While doing so Jon has solidified his position as an influential figure in both the Canadian and international house music scene.
Born and raised in Calgary, Jon first discovered his love for DJing at age 14 while watching MTV and then bought his first DJ mixer at Radio Shack. Linking up his parents turntables, Jon would make tape loops, scratch and practice beat matching. Once he found the pulsating rhythms and soulful melodies of house music, he was hooked! From there on he honed his skills behind the decks and in the studio, immersing himself in the rich tapestry of sounds that define the genre.
With a distinct blend of deep, groovy and uplifting vibes, Jon Delerious has crafted a signature sound that captivates audiences around the globe. His DJ sets are a mesmerizing journey through the realms of house music, seamlessly fusing together hypnotic bass lines, uplifting melodies, and dance floor rhythms.
As a producer, his tracks have found a home on esteemed record labels such as Nordic Trax, Lost My Dog, Large Music, and Worship Records, among others. With each release, he showcases his exceptional talent for crafting sublime compositions that blur the boundaries between deep house, tech-house, and disco-infused grooves.
With an illustrious career spanning decades and a discography that stands as a testament to his artistry, DJ Jon Delerious remains a true pioneer and ambassador of the Canadian house music scene, leaving an indelible mark on the industry and captivating audiences with his infectious sounds.
Matterson
After being inspired by the countless local events featuring local and international DJ's, Matterson decided to take up the craft himself. Starting with the electro craze of the late '00 era, he first played parties for Sonica Late Nights and Westcoast Funktions where he learned much about the craft. As time moved forward, he started contributing to local burn community events, growing into a more mature house sound in the process. Today he is one of the founding members of the Left Coast Crew, providing quality events on Vancouver Island. Funky, Deep and Tech areas of House showcase his ever increasing development.
Sarah-Hannah
Sarah-Hannah is one of the first female DJ/ producers in Canada, a true pioneer in Canada’s electronic music scene and is the current President of the Garden City Electronic Music Society. She’s DJ’ed several international sets over the course of her DJ career: In Vancouver, Toronto, Saskatoon, Tokyo, Costa Rica, Australia, Indonesia, Amsterdam, San Francisco & all over Mexico.
One of her career highlights was opening-up for the legendary Hip Hop band ‘De La Soul’ in Amsterdam! Plus she’s DJ’ed opening sets for some of the biggest DJs in the world: Armin Van Buren, Paul Van Dyk, DJ Heather, Derrick Carter, Sasha & David Morales (to name a few).
Extremely musical, Sarah-Hannah plays various instruments: Guitar, Ukulele, Banjolele & Tamboura. She is also a vocalist and performs in various band projects in Victoria and on Vancouver Island.
Skez
Skez’s musical career began at age 20 as lead singer of a progressive alt-rock band in the UK. He started DJing with vinyl in Brighton in 2004, and after emigrating to Canada in 2007, became an integral part of the BC underground house music scene.
This was followed by three years of residencies in the Caribbean, art car sets at Burning Man, regional shows including Otherworld, ValhallaFest, Footwork Entertainment (supporting DJ Sneak/Hatiras/Flipside/Defunk). Recent residencies with Jellyfish Lounge collective and a progression into production have resulted in legendary parties and multiple releases on SoundCloud and major streaming sites.
Behind the decks SKEZ is a master of his craft, creating a magical feedback loop with his audience, pushing the energy and euphoria to the max. Selecting music from a rich array of producers, he creates a deeply connective soundscape full of bass heavy grooves, tribal rhythms and anthemic melodies. He's sure to take any dance floor on an epic journey and leave them wanting more!
