DJ Pants - Seattle
Adam Faraizl – better known as DJ Pants on Vancouver Island took a long and winding path from being raised on the outskirts of Dallas, TX, to becoming a champion of the UK Garage and 4/4 House vibe in the clubs and raves of Victoria, BC. His unwavering love for underground electronic music started at an early age, when a childhood friend played him a mixtape featuring a techno remix of the Sesame Street theme song. Mind permanently blown, he began to seek out this “techno” in all its forms, leading him on a journey through Trance, Ambient, Belgian hardcore, Deep Tech House, and many other genres before finally succumbing to the shuffly, bumpy, bubblin’ vibes of the UK sounds of 2-step and 4/4 Garage.
However, it was another aspect of his childhood that actually led him to Victoria. From age 7 to 14 he pursued an acting career, with the pinnacle generally recognized as being cast to play young Eddie Kaspbrak in the original 1990s “IT” miniseries, which was filmed primarily in Vancouver. This formative experience was his first with both the Pacific Northwest and Canada, and led him to try and find his way back however possible. After high school, he was fortunate enough to be accepted into the international students program at UVic, and armed only with a small suitcase, a CD tower filled with electronica, 7 EPs worth of vinyl, and a mixer entirely unsuitable for mixing, he made his journey to Canada and started putting down roots.
And yet none of this, perhaps, would have resulted in packing dancefloors and dispensing basslines on a professional basis were it not for the support of the incredible underground music scene on the island, as well as early internet communities like Rave Victoria and the FatKats. This led him to encounter other like-minded DJs and fans, exposing him to even more music, resulting in both lifelong friendships and some classic mixes, perfectly capturing the vibe of the era.
His tastes for offbeats hat shuffles, hair raising sub basses, long slung MCs, angelic female vocals and influences ranging from Basement Jaxx, Todd Edwards, and Mighty Dub Katz made his style unlike anyones here, or there. DJ Pants went on to be a favourite on Vancouver Island and mainland B.C, being in high demand at parties and clubs. He regularly played Victoria institution Hush Nightclub and gained a loyal following for his unique sound. Eclectic, hard to predict, but undeniably dancey and fun, DJ Pants knows what it is to keep it undeniably fresh. Now based in Seattle, Wa DJ Pants returns! Ry Guy - Victoria
RyGuy is the founder of the Victoria Electronic Music Collective and has 20+ years playing alongside some of B.C.’s finest. Recently sharing the bill with international artists such as; DJ Q, DJ Dan, Colette & John Lee. Over the pandemic Twitch became his new realm, organizing a weekly online Raid train focusing on artists streaming from across the globe called Puff Puff Pass, extending his passion for the underground scene and the sounds of electronic music across the world. Playing a bit of everything over the years Ry blends deep basslines and floor fillers with smooth vocals and funky rhythms, so be ready to dive into the mix and dance. Be ready for a musical journey, guaranteed to get your body moving!
DJ Christoph / Christoph Maitland
DJ Christoph has been one of the most in demand House DJs in Victoria for two decades. Winner of a Victoria DJ competition, he went on to have residencies in Victoria clubs Lucky, Hush, Level and Deep while being an influential artist and promoter. An electric showman and a technical DJ his sets are well thought out, taking you on a wave of different emotions, and energy levels while making the dance floor come alive. If you like House Music of all flavours: funky chunky bassy sassy rhyhtmic, techy and whatever else he's your man. As a producer he has heard his work be featured on BBC Radio 1, featured by FL Studio, and charted on Beatport. As a DJ he has shared stages with Steve Angello(Swedish House Mafia) DJ Dan, Above & Beyond, Mark Farina, Johnny Fiasco, Meat Katie, Dylan Rhymes and more. Meet Charles also known as Fundipz.
A Brazilian guy who decided to take an adventure around the world and call Vancouver Island home.
His passion about electric music started in the early 2000's when Electro House and Full On were in their highs in Brazil.
Played in one of the top ten clubs in the world in São Paulo.
Driven by House Music he decided to fully invest in his career in Canada where he saw the opportunity to express himself through music.
Opening for names like Dunks from The Funk Hunters and Soren from Lazy Syrup Orchestra he wants to show a little bit of the Brazilian vibes.
Inspired by names like Alok, Vintage Culture, Mandraks and others he saw them develop and become internationally known.
