Digital Audio Desk Training Workshop – Familiar to Intermediate Level

This training is not for complete beginners but for those who are familiar with the basics of digital desks and want to achieve intermediate competency. It will include both theory and practical application featuring several A&H SQ5 digital desks with multitrack capabilities, though the training is cross platform to any desk, so attendees can learn and test industry best practices for themselves, rather than simply listening to a trainer. This level of training is a mainstay to achieve best practice and to optimise sound at the desk for a church. Aswell as bringing the digitals desk we will be listening to the results with Coda audio, an outstanding product for Houses of worship.

The hosts Andy McCully and Marc Heath of Adlib have worked in the House of Worship and Heritage buildings AV sector for over 25 years each and have a wealth of knowledge in House of worship events and conferencing solutions. In addition, they have worked within hospitality and corporate AV for Skyscanner, Estelle Manor, Volvo, Manchester United, London Zoo, Silverstone F1 Auditorium, Gleneagles Hotel and many more.

As these sessions have limited spaces, online registration is limited to: 1 x ticket per person. We politely request that churches send a maximum of 2x people per church.

Spaces are limited to 15 per session, so attendees get the most out the practical. As these sessions are regularly oversubscribed and in demand, we recommend early booking. Confirmations will be sought Mid - October so any that are NOT re-confirmed, can be given to standby requests. Refreshments will be on hand (Tea, Coffee, Water and Juice with snacks). 6:45 pm: Theory: The high-level overview of digital desks and where the sector stands today.

7:45 pm: Practical: Attendees get access to the desks in small teams of 1-3 persons to apply learning, with Andy McCully rotating among the groups for one-on-one assistance.

8:30 pm: Conclusion: What was learned? What next?
