Keep Port St. Lucie Beautiful (KPSLB) makes it easy for City of Port St. Lucie and St. Lucie County residents (IDs required) to get rid of their unwanted household chemicals and hazardous waste.Residents don't even have to leave their cars! Simply drive up to the drop-off location, and volunteers will help unload any items for disposal, free of charge.
The event takes place at the Public Works Complex, 450 SW Thornhill Drive, from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 2.

Automotive fluids
Batteries (rechargeable lithium and vehicle)
Bug sprays
Computers/electronics
Drain cleaners
Fats, oils and greases (F.O.G.): 5 gallons or less
Fire extinguishers
Fluorescent light bulbs/tubes
Fuels
Herbicides
Insecticides
Lighter fluid
Mercury thermometers
Oil-based paint
Propane Tanks (20 pounds or less)
Prescription drugs (No liquids)
Solvents/thinners
Thermostats

Biohazard/medical waste
Containers larger than 5 gallons
Explosives
Flares
Paint (water-based or latex)
Sharps
Household batteries (alkaline)
No liquid prescription medications
Tires
St. Lucie County Solid Waste accepts most household waste items year-round. A small fee may be charged for certain items.
