Our House Sessions were created because we believe the people of Southwest Virginia deserve to experience extraordinary songwriting in an intimate room—up close, without a ticket between you and the music. It's our way of giving something back to the community that has embraced Wayfarer from the very beginning.
This House Session welcomes Cruz Contreras to the Velvet Room.
As the founder of The Black Lillies, Cruz has stood on the Grand Ole Opry stage more than 40 times, toured alongside some of Americana's most respected artists, and earned national recognition for songs that are as honest as they are timeless. His music has carried him across the country, but for one evening, those stories find their way to Tazewell.
Come early, enjoy dinner, share a glass of wine or your favorite cocktail, and settle into an evening where every lyric has room to breathe. These are the nights that remind us why music matters.
