Anne Heaton was my first house concert in April 2012. Since then, I have hosted her a few times, and I am delighted to have her back for a summer gig! I will be providing a main course meal. Please bring a side or dessert and a beverage and a lawn chair! Suggested contribution $25 per person to the artist. RSVP to [email protected].
Anne Heaton is a celebrated singer-songwriter and teaching artist who has captured audience imaginations with her songs that are, by turns, “tender, barbed and spiritual” (Washington Post). She’s been featured by the New York Times Music Podcast, NPR, the Sundance Film Festival and Lilith Fair (2010). Anne has shared the stage with artists such as Jewel, Sarah McLachlan, and jazz drummer Max Roach. She teaches songwriting at Berklee College of Music and GRAMMY Camp and recently shared her research on the social emotional learning outcomes of songwriting with teenagers in a March 2025 TEDx talk. Anne lives in Milwaukee, loves coffee, Lake Michigan and being a mom to two freethinking daughters.
