Tamarack Hollow Nature & Cultural Center Saturday Old Mill Trail, Hinsdale. This easy hike led by Naturalist and Tamarack Hollow Director Aimee Gelinas M.Ed will follow the Housatonic River and will feature riverbank and floodplain ecology. Participants will learn about the flora (plants, trees, wild edibles), the fauna (signs of wildlife) and cultural history of this unique conservation land along the Housatonic River. Hike is free (donations accepted). Supported by the Hinsdale/Peru Cultural Council. Co-sponsored by Berkshire Natural Resources Council. Registration required, email [email protected].
