Hotel Ritz is a celebration of music making. Making music does not seek to be correct or perfect, but rather, exciting, dangerous and new. The premier of two new original compositions inspired by the war history of the Ritz Hotel on Le Place Vendome in the heart of Paris. Featuring Violist Jing Yang and Pianist Vince di Mura, this is music that paints portraits of Hemingway, Coco Chanell, the French film star Arletty and the infamous German generals who used the Ritz as their playground. Music that paints pictures of the French street singers and lovers who mounted the courage to survive and thrive even when the world was on fire. With Special guest pianist, Shu Liu; vocalist Lina Zha and very special guests, the East Meets West Improv Ensemble from the Princeton Area Chinese School, the afternoon promises to be a thrilling event with new and unique interpretations of the Beatles, Muse and Jimi Hendrix.
