Hot Flashes & Hot Plates.
About this Event
During the month of July, Dr. LaRae Brown is raising awareness about Volunteers in Medicine and the vital services they provide for the working uninsured.
Join Dr. Brown, Obstetrician-Gynecologist, in partnership with UF Health Jacksonville, as she hosts "Hot Flashes & Hot Plates," a how-to survive and thrive during the perimenopause and menopause transition. Together, we'll explore helpful management strategies, including nutrition, lifestyle changes, stress reduction, and medical treatments in a welcoming and empowering atmosphere.
Guests will learn how to manage their perimenopause and menopause through nutrition, lifestyle optimization, stress management, and medical therapy options. This event will combine education, a live cooking demonstration, and community engagement.
