Since 1987, San Marcos residents and visitors have enjoyed a family friendly music concert every Thursday evening during the summer months.
Summer in the Park continues to grow in popularity with excellent Texas musicians and a laid back, fun atmosphere. Bring your lawn chair or a blanket and - if you'd like - bring an ice chest of your favorite beverages or you can support the local Boy Scouts by buying refreshments from their booth!
Concerts run from 7:30pm to 9:30pm however we encourage guests to arrive early to enjoy the park and set up.
This event is produced by the San Marcos Performing Arts Association - a grassroots, all-volunteer, non-profit 501c3 organization - in partnership with the Parks and Recreation Department of the City of San Marcos.
Some pertinent park rules include:
-No smoking or e-cigarettes/inhaled vapor devices
-No glass containers
-No styrofoam containers
-Motorized vehicles prohibited beyond parking areas
-Animals are to remain restrained at all times
-All wildlife and habitat protected
-Parking in designated parking spaces only
-Parking for park users only
