Join AIA volunteer and citizen scientist Hank Mortimer for an informative hands-on program discovering Horseshoe Crabs. Find out how valuable this living fossil is to the global ecosystem, humans too, and how Horseshoe crabs are tagged and why. AIA is offering Volunteer Horseshoe Crab tagging sessions throughtout the spring and summer, you can get more information and sign up to help at the program. A tagging demonstration will be included if live crabs are present. This event is free and family friendly. Meet at the Assateague Environmental Education Center (7206 National Seashore Lane Berlin, MD 21811).
