Horsepower and Heroes Retreat (Female Veterans)

Greetings, ladies.

Our primary goal at The PEACH Pit is to provide affordable, low cost mental health counseling to all clients. One segment of our population is Veterans. Sadly, a Department of Veterans Affairs report indicates that about 20 Veterans commit suicide daily. We want to do our part to prevent those deaths. We also want to promote the visibility (not invisibility) of our women Veterans.

To that end, our Horsepower and Heroes Retreat for women is all inclusive three-day outdoors retreat at our farm in Georgia.

Our Veterans have seen and heard things no one should see or hear. They may not reach out for help because they view seeking help as weak. Our motto is “Come join us at the barn,” and that’s our draw. Coming to The PEACH Pit for a session with our horses has a different feel, a different meaning, a different result. We offer help without the stigma.

This Horsepower and Heroes Retreat for women Veterans and will have a maximum of 15 participants. This intense yet relaxing experiential weekend is for women and staffed by women. We look forward to meeting you and helping you realize your best self. The retreat events may include:

• Equine-assisted psychotherapy group sessions
• Individual Accelerated Resolution Therapy sessions
• Individual Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy sessions

• Raffle/Gifts
• Rock painting

We will accept up to 100 applications and will select the recipients June 1. We'll notify recipients by June 15.
