Horse Drawn Carriage Rides at Hatley Castle - December 14, 2025

Step into the spirit of the season at Hatley Castle for a one-day-only holiday experience on Saturday, December 14.

We’ve partnered with Tally Ho Carriage Tours to bring the charm of a horse-drawn carriage ride to the Castle grounds. Begin your adventure with a 12-minute ride along College Drive, complete with jingle bells!

After your ride, warm up inside by the Castle’s grand fireplace with a cup of hot chocolate or spiced apple cider, play classic board games on the main floor, capture beautiful photos with your loved ones by the festive displays or take a 30-minute guided castle tour there’s cozy castle fun for everyone! Come dressed up in your holiday finest, ugly sweaters, or matching pajama's - the dress code is up to you!

Whether you stay for an hour or make an afternoon of it, it’s the perfect way to create new holiday memories at one of Vancouver Island’s most iconic landmarks.

Carriage Rides: Begin on College Drive, near the main entrance of Hatley Castle

Rates: Based on a family of four (maximum of six passengers per carriage; Tally Ho recommends up to four adults for comfort)

Waivers are mandatory and must be completed onsite. Please arrive 15 minutes early to ensure you have enough time.
