Our workshop will cover what 501(c)(3) nonprofits need to know to avoid spooky situations.
About this Event

This workshop will cover what 501(c)(3) nonprofits need to know to avoid spooky situations. We will review "horror stories" that have been in the news and use them as learning tools. Are you afraid that there may be IRS requirements and restrictions you are unaware of? We'll cover:

  • Reporting: what does the IRS require from us every year?
  • What kinds of activities can get our nonprofit in trouble?
  • Fundraising: What's allowed?
  • Spending Restrictions: Are some types of spending prohibited for a 501(c)(3)?

We will open with light discussion for attendees to meet one another and include time for Q&A throughout.
