Celebrate Halloween with The Great Film Club at our Horror Film Night!
Join us for an evening of horror, suspense, thrills, and Halloween-inspired short films from local and independent filmmakers. We’ll screen approximately two hours of short films followed by a Halloween mixer and costume contest.
🎃 Halloween costumes are highly encouraged!
🏆 Costume Contest Prize:
The winner will receive a 1-year membership to The Great Film Club, giving them access to Great Film Club screening events throughout the year!
🎥 SUBMIT YOUR HORROR SHORT
We are currently accepting horror, thriller, suspense, supernatural, Halloween, and spooky-themed short films.
- We strongly encourage submissions to be under 10 minutes.
- Exceptional films between 10–20 minutes may still be considered.
- 🚫 No films over 20 minutes will be accepted.
- Films that are offensive, inappropriate, or lack artistic integrity will not be considered.
📩 HOW TO SUBMIT
Programming is filled on a first come, first confirmed basis, so we recommend submitting early.

Please include your contact information and social media handles so we can stay connected and tag you when promoting the event.
Filmmakers will be notified by October 20th, giving everyone plenty of time to invite friends, family, cast, crew, and fellow horror fans.

- Admission: $20
- Filmmakers: Receive a promotional code for discounted admission for themselves + one guest
- Bring 3 Guests: Receive 1 complimentary ticket
- Concessions: Free — donations are highly encouraged!
- Parking: Free lot + street parking available
- Additional parking available near 1110 N. Western Ave
- Tickets: To avoid Eventbrite fees, we recommend purchasing admission at the door.
🚫 NO REFUNDS.
If you are unable to attend after purchasing a ticket, email us at [email protected] and we’ll provide you with a complimentary ticket to a future Short Film Open Mic Night.
