Horrid & Horrifying Hot Sauce are proud to present a recurring Sunday matinee film fest. The programming will include shorts, a feature, trivia, raffles, and more, and will be recurring every 1-2 months. We will also have Horrifying Hot Sauce for sale (including special sauces for the movies being shown!) in addition to a few other vendors, and merch from some filmmakers too!
For the second HFF, we're showing a movie Ryan worked on - Scott Phillips’ “Gimme Skelter” - Leatherface's Lost Film! It's the story of a man who thinks he’s the son of Charles Manson, and to get daddy’s attention his family is going to K*ll the entire town of Banion’s Cross NM (pop. 67) in one night. The film stars Billy Garberina, Trent Haaga, Kurly Tlapoyawa, Mark Chavez (of The Pajama Men), and of course, Gunnar "Leatherface" Hansen in one of his few actual acting (not just being big and scary) roles. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0892056/
We are attempting to make sure the director can attend the fest, but if not he will at least provide a recorded intro and potentially a zoom Q&A after the film. We will also have a block of short films, including Scott Phillips' "Scream, Science Bastard, Scream!" This one was co-written by Chris Seaver (Low Budget Pictures, Warlock Home Video) so you know it's not going to be "high brow"!
We will also have 2 rounds of trivia with prizes, door prizes / raffles, vendors including Horrifying Hot Sauce, and a new hot sauce for the film! "Matool's Hammer" (the official hot sauce of Scott's previous movie, "The Stink of Flesh") is getting amped up into "Somethin' Witchy" for Gimme Skelter.
Tickets are $15 for GA and $25 for a VIP ticket which gets you in 30 minutes early, coupons from Horrid & Horrifying Hot Sauce, a 4x6 print of the sauce label, and 3 raffle tickets (GA comes with 1), as well as other goodies!
