With a classic 19-piece big band lineup, 𝐇𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐬 𝐏𝐥𝐮𝐬 has been performing for over twenty years at a variety of jazz festivals, private and corporate functions, general admission gigs, charity fundraisers, and community events.
𝐇𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐬 𝐏𝐥𝐮𝐬 showcases a wide range of jazz styles, from big band swing to contemporary numbers. Repertoire includes arrangements originally performed by Count Basie, Buddy Rich, Peter Herbolzheimer, and many more. They also feature hits made popular by Earth, Wind & Fire and Chaka Khan, along with several compositions or arrangements by Australia’s own Ed Wilson and Ross Irwin.
Horns Plus is directed by renowned trumpet player 𝐁𝐨𝐛 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐧, whose long career spans the US, Europe, and Australia. Bob has played with some of the biggest names in music, including Ray Charles, Buddy Rich, James Last, John Farnham, and James Morrison.
Featuring with Horns Plus is vocalist 𝐋𝐢𝐛𝐛𝐲 𝐇𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐬. With a 40-year career in the entertainment industry, Libby has starred in shows like The Sentimental Bloke, The Buddy Holly Story, Godspell, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, Wind in the Willows, and Always Patsy Cline. She has also fronted big bands such as the Hollywood Horns, the duo The Incidentals, and her original country-soul band, Libstarrr.
