Horizon Ensemble: Summer Winds 2026!

Summer's here! Let's enjoy these sunny days with some outdoor music for winds, brass, and percussion with the Horizon Ensemble.
This year, Summer Winds will occur in two places:
- Saturday, July 18 at 2 PM at Jamaica Pond Bandstand, Jamaicaway & Pond Street, Boston
- Sunday, July 19 at 1 PM outside Church of the Covenant on 67 Newbury Street, Boston. Rain location indoors.
We'll perform four works by Horizon friends. The show opens with Ben Nacar's Outdoor Music celebrates open-air scenes with lighthearted flair. Hayley Qin's Three Moods in New England commemorates scenes of her memories in our cozy Northeast homes. Luciano Lopez-Parnetti's Quansoo, a big hit of our November 2025 concert, returns in chamber form to portray the titular beach on Martha's Vineyard.
Finally, Andrés Ballesteros's The Dog and the Squirrel tells of a dog's adventure... and you are part of it! The piece is a narrated choose-your-own-adventure, and you get to choose where the dog goes. Help us out as we take a musical journey through Boston!
This is a pay-what-you-can concert, with suggested donation of $25. We will collect donations in person at the concert, or you can find us on Venmo at @HorizonEnsemble. Posters, stickers, and other merchandise will be available for purchase.
