About this Event

Know your ballot. Make your own choices.

What will be on your ballot this November? Where can you find reliable information about candidates, constitutional amendments, early voting, and Election Day?

Join us for the Hopewell Ballot Party, a free community gathering designed to help residents understand the upcoming election and feel more prepared to vote.

We will use Sway, a free, nonpartisan platform that helps people review their ballot, access voter information, and prepare a personal voting plan. Together, we will look at the offices and proposed constitutional amendments on the ballot, identify trustworthy sources for further research, and make space for respectful discussion.

What to expect

• A plain-language overview of what is on the November ballot
• Information on where to find official ballot language, candidate information, sample ballots, and voting details
• Time to research ballot choices independently
• Respectful conversation with neighbors
• A voluntary opportunity to share election reminders and voting resources with friends or family
• Light food and refreshments

Your choices are your own

This is a voter-information event—not a space for political pressure. No attendee will be asked or expected to vote the way the host, another attendee, or any organization votes. Everyone is encouraged to review the information, consider their own values, and make their own choices.

The event is hosted by Colonel Pratt, a Hopewell resident and independent candidate for Hopewell City Council Ward 7. To keep the gathering focused on voter education, there will be no campaign fundraising, campaign materials, or requests for attendees to support any candidate, political party, or ballot position.
