Hope Valley Reservoir

We will walk approximately 6km through Hope Valley Reservoir Reserve, exploring the shared-use trails around the reservoir and crossing the 800m dam wall. The walk offers lovely views across the reservoir towards the Adelaide Hills, with sections through native vegetation and the reserve's open recreational areas.
This is an easy Grade 2 walk, following mostly gentle shared-use trails with some undulating sections. The trails are a mixture of unsealed paths and the dam wall, with some sections shared with cyclists and other trail users.
The walk provides a lovely opportunity to enjoy the reservoir, native vegetation, birdlife and views towards the Adelaide Hills, while walking and chatting with the group. We will explore the trails around the reserve before returning to our starting point.
