HOPE Outdoor Gallery, Austin's most dynamic, ever-evolving outdoor art park and creative campus is making its long-awaited return with an official public launch over Thanksgiving weekend for their new location at 741 Dalton Ln, Austin, TX 78742 by the Austin Airport. HOPE will officially open its doors on Friday, Nov. 28 and will remain open all weekend from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day. Ongoing Winter hours will be Wednesday to Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. HOPE is free and open to the public and an all ages experience.
The HOPE Outdoor Gallery was launched in March 2010 at "The Foundation," a failed condo development from the 1980s on Baylor St. in downtown Austin. With the help of Shepard Fairey and hundreds of participating artists, this outdoor gallery concept became internationally known as the only art park of its kind in the USA. The original location on Baylor St. officially closed on Jan. 2, 2019, to help begin the transition process and grow awareness for the future permanent home by the Austin Airport. The new location allows HOPE to expand upon the rich foundation of art education classes, community events, and more professional development for the Austin creative community.
The new location features over 30 street artists including Miles Starkey, Emily Ding, Kimie Flores, Bradford Maxfield, Daddy Otis, Matt Tru, Wiley Ross, J Muzacz, ATX Sire, Mason Lackey, Joemark Asevedo, Phoebe Joynt, John McKenzie, Billy Tavis, Nico Cathcart, Lena Ugren, Taylor Barnes, Daniel Toledo, Cameron Moberg, Natalie Shugalio, Jason Abrams, Patrick McGregor, Allison Bamcat, Brittany Johnson, Kristen Sandlan, Kaitlin Zeismer, John Van Horn, Lemon, Megan Kind and more.
