A woman born in 1850 who lived for 80 years would have seen fashion change dramatically in her lifetime. This program will walk you through the Connecticut Museum of Culture and History's Costume and Textile Collection to see how women's clothing transitioned from the iron reign of the hoopskirt to the relative freedom of the flapper dress. Join us for this engaging and entertaining program presented by an educator of the Museum and based on the Museum's nationally renowned collection. The program lasts for 60 minutes and consists of a Powerpoint presentation as well as time for audience participation and questions. This program is FREE and open to all adults and young adults aged 12 and up.
No registration is required.
