This clinic is intended for horse owners and owner trimmers. It will cover hoof anatomy, balance, imbalance, and how the entirety of the horse is affected. What does a healthy hoof look like? What does an imbalanced hoof look like? How can I identify the difference and communicate what is wrong or right? How does the difference between the two affect the horse’s well-being and lifestyle?
Topics include anatomy, the hoof mechanism, distortions, posture, and more!
This clinic will give participants the ability to identify both healthy and unhealthy hooves. Participants will leave the clinic with a grasp on the importance of balanced hooves for their horse’s long-term soundness and athletic potential. Finally, we will cover common issues horses and owners face in regards to hoof care and dysfunction – giving owners the tools to effectively evaluate and communicate hoof-related problems AND successes!
