This presentation is to honor the 250th Anniversary of the United States Navy. A presentation by Pebble Hill Plantation curator, Lori Curtis.
Pebble Hill’s connection to this occasion is to recognize two particular members of the Hanna family who served in the U.S. Navy, Howard Melville Hanna, Sr. (American Civil War) and his grandson, Robert Livingston “Liv” Ireland, Jr. (First World War).
Original documents that refer to prominent historical figures and events that are now written in American history books will be on view. The Curator will be available for Q/A related to the documents.
About the presenter: Lori Curtis serves as the Curator for Pebble Hill Plantation. This program will be held in the Pebble Hill Learning Center.
