Honoring The Mother
About this Event
A Mother Blessing Workshop + Gathering
An afternoon of ceremony, sisterhood, nourishment + remembering how women were meant to be held through the threshold of motherhood.
Pregnancy was never meant to be witnessed only through appointments, measurements and checklists.
There is another kind of preparation that happens when women gather around a mother.
When we slow down.
When we listen to her.
When we honor the threshold she is crossing.
When women who have walked before her share their wisdom.
When the women who will stand beside her learn how to truly support her.
Honoring the Mother is an experiential Mother Blessing workshop devoted to bringing that kind of care back into our communities.
Pregnant women will be invited to receive. To be witnessed, celebrated and held in a real Mother Blessing.
The women surrounding them will have the opportunity to participate and learn. Experiencing the anatomy of a Mother Blessing from the inside so you can carry these rituals of care into your own families, friendships, birth work and communities.
Because we don't rebuild the village by waiting for one to appear.
We become the village.
WHAT WE'LL EXPERIENCE
Together, we'll gather in circle to:
- Honor the pregnant mothers among us through a real Mother Blessing
- Explore the intention and meaning behind Mother Blessing ceremony
- Learn how to thoughtfully create and facilitate one for another woman
- Experience ritual, conversation, wisdom-sharing and connection
- Explore what it can look like when prenatal preparation happens in community rather than isolation
- Share a beautiful, nourishing meal together
- And experience a special surprise we're saving for the women in the room 🤎
This isn't a workshop where you'll sit and take notes about community.
We're going to practice it.
You'll leave with the tools to create a meaningful Mother Blessing of your own, but we hope you leave with something even more important:
A remembrance of what it feels like when women gather around women.
TWO WAYS TO JOIN US
🤎 PREGNANT MAMA — $33
This seat is intentionally offered at a lower investment because this gathering is for you to receive.
Come exactly as you are.
You'll be included in the Mother Blessing, surrounded by women who are there to witness and honor this threshold with you, nourished with food, and invited into an afternoon where you don't have to be the one organizing, researching or holding everything together.
Let the village hold you for a little while.
🌿 THE VILLAGE — $55
For doulas, birth workers, sisters, mothers, friends and women who want to learn how to better surround the mothers in their lives.
You'll participate in the Mother Blessing while learning the structure, intention and elements that allow you to create one yourself.
Come because you support pregnant women professionally.
Come because your sister or best friend is having a baby.
Come because you want to become the kind of woman who knows how to gather a community around another woman when she crosses a threshold.
THIS GATHERING IS FOR THE WOMAN WHO...
Feels that something is missing from the way we currently prepare women for motherhood.
Craves more ritual, connection and meaning around pregnancy and birth.
Wants to become a more intentional sister, friend, doula or support person.
Misses the kind of community women were never supposed to live without.
And we have something we're very excited to share with the women who gather with us that day. You'll have to come sit in the circle to find out. 🤎
ABOUT ALLISON + BRITT
Allison Pancost and Britt Clements are the women behind The Kinward Movement, a shared body of work devoted to remembering what happens when women, families and communities return to relationship... with our bodies, one another, the living world, and the wisdom that has carried women through generations.
Between them, their work spans fertility and preconception, physiological birth, nourishment, movement, breath, embodiment, nervous system and metabolic health, plant wisdom, and the transitions that shape a woman's life. Beneath all of it is a shared belief: we were never meant to do this alone.
They created The Kinward Movement as an invitation to move back toward kin...toward connection, belonging, reciprocity, embodiment and home. And toward rebuilding the relationships and traditions we want the generations after us to inherit.
Honoring the Mother is an expression of exactly that: women gathering around women, remembering together, and rebuilding the village one relationship at a time.
Come as the mother. Come as the village.
There is a place for you in the circle.
