American Independence would not have been possible without the support of Spain. As part of the VMHC's 250th Initiative, join the Queen Sofía Spanish Institute for a special evening commemorating the Spanish politicians, generals, and merchants who played a vital role shaping the outcome of the American Revolution.
Highlights include:
-Remarks from a representative of the Embassy of Spain in the US and M. Begonia Santos, President & CEO of the Queen Sofía Spanish Institute
-Keynote lecture from renowned expert Amb. Gonzalo M. Quintero Saravia, SJD, PhD.
-Special display of original VMHC manuscripts related to Spain’s involvement in the American Revolution
-A special reception featuring Spanish-inspired hors d'oeuvres, drinks, and music.
-After-hours access to the VMHC's exhibits, including "Revolutionary Allies: Foreign Friends of American Independence"
