***** SOLD OUT *****Join Patti for Some Beading Fun! The fascination with watching something big shrink into something really tiny never gets old. I loved doing Shrinky Dinks when I was young, and I love using the professional quality Shrink Plastic that is available today. In this class you will use shrink plastic and several silicon molds to form and create beautiful flower beads. Each bead will have several layers of petals that will be hand colored using colored pencils to add to the unique design of the flowers you create. You will learn how to make wired wrapped beads and a simple assembling technique will bring it together in a charming necklace. Accent beads, chain, and jewelry findings will be provided as part of the class. The number of beads you make are dependent on how detailed you make each flower. There will be plenty of guidance and assistance. All materials for the Necklace will be provided.
Materials Provided:
Shrink Plastic
Buna cord necklace base
Accent beads
Jump rings
Jewelry findings will be provided as part of the class.
Student Supplies List:
Colored pencils - Prisma color (is the preferred brand) or any other artist grade colored pencils. Student grade pencils such as Crayola and Rose Art are not recommended they have more wax and less pigment.
Chained nose pliers and flat nose pliers.
Patti will have a few jewelry tools to share, but you will be more productive if you have your own tools.
