This is not a traditional dance class. We’ll explore movement organically, from within — no choreography to memorize, no performance, just embodied presence and feeling.

Mela Amaiya is passionate about empowering women in their bodies, voices, and lives. She believes women are medicine for our communities, and that the body is a powerful portal for awakening the wisdom of the Divine within.

Her work supports women in reclaiming themselves as sacred — knowing that when women heal, society heals.

Mela holds a B.A. in Dance and an M.A. in Women’s Spirituality, is a Reiki Master, and is a lifelong student of movement and embodiment. She currently trains, teaches, and performs with the world-renowned Salimpour School of Belly Dance.

She also leads Women’s Public Speaking Circles, Freedom Rituals (a daily habits community), and offers Sensual Embodiment Coaching in a non-intimidating, sacred, and supportive space.

Her classes weave together technique, sensuality, embodiment, and empowerment, offering movement as potent medicine for these times — supporting women’s reclamation of their bodies, voices, and sacredness.
