WHo's the BOSS?
Boss Stomp has fast become a familiar name on the Mid-North Coast music scene, now sitting on the cusp of the national attention. In their debut year they climbed from open-mic nights in their hometown of Coffs Harbour to mainstage Airlie Beach Festival Favourites ( 2025), dropped a killer debut record, achieved national radio play, scored a slew of press, an eye watering tour schedule that has included opening for the Black Sorrows on their 40th anniversary tour, and are already receiving invitations to perform at some of the countries biggest blues + Roots festivals.
Hailing from the Mid-North Coast of NSW, this genre-bending swamp-stompin’ garage rocking blues + roots combo is hard to miss— funky posters, whacky social media clips, a heavy live presence in their native region and a sound, style and stage personality that sits uniquely all on its own.
Heavy alt-blues, thundering bass and beats, they’ve got the devil-may-care primitive sound full of hook lyricism and garage riffs. Included is their Aussie larrikin personalities leaning into the The Cruel Sea’s cool and Regurgitator weird. It’s, thigh-slapping, toe-tapping shout to your mate over the noise; “Never heard it before but I love it” type formula crowds are eating up.
With their own offbeat charm and swagger a la Flight of the Concords, Skoop (guitar, kick + hats, lead vocals) and the G-man (bass, percussion, backing vocals), bring the whole thing to life live on stage, joking between themselves and the audience like a couple of naughty school kids whilst performing like a pair of synchronised swimmers completely at home on stage projecting enough energy to power a small town.
Look, listen, learn....
